Hosted by Pasadena Youth Center, the 14th Annual "Adelante Mujer Latina" Conference will bring together dozens of top Latina experts in every field to present this day-long career and educational conference to more than 1,500 Latinas ages 14 to 21 and their mothers or mentors.
With interactive workshops in English and Spanish, and representatives from over 100 local employers, government offices, community organizations, colleges and universities, this conference is the largest gathering of Latinas in the state.
There will also be special bi-lingual workshops designed for the mothers and mentors of the teens and sessions for teachers and counselors will also be offered.
This Conference is devoted to exploring education and career opportunities for today's young Latinas. Spend the day learning about exciting careers and what it takes to pursue them. Careers will come alive in a series of fun and informative workshops which will inspire participants to set goals and establish steps for achieving their goals. |
